On 17 -18 June, the metaCCAZE project was prominently featured at the CIVINET Iberia Annual Meeting, held in Barcelona, Spain. The event brought together transport authorities, city representatives, and experts from both countries to discuss advancements in urban mobility.
CIVINET IBERIA is the local network of CIVITAS in Spain and Portugal. Our metaCCAZE partner, BABLE, holds the secretariat this network dedicated to promoting sustainable urban mobility in both countries.
Within metaCCAZE, BABLE is responsible for the co-creation framework, ensuring that citizens and any local stakeholders have their say in the design of the future zero emission shared mobility solutions.
As part of the CIVINET Iberia Annual Meeting, BABLE animated a roundtable discussion featuring four key use cases of the project: curbside management, autonomous shuttles, logistic hub nodes, and a smart multimodal hub. These topics were deliberated among participants from various cities, helping to identify potential early barriers and needs for successful replication of these innovative solutions.
The annual meeting also included a session focused on autonomous mobility, highlighting the crucial role of European funded projects like metaCCAZE in leveraging technology to enhance and promote sustainable urban mobility. This segment underscored the importance of integrating cutting-edge mobility solutions to create smarter, greener cities.
The CIVINET Iberia meeting served as an platform for metaCCAZE to share its vision and gather valuable insights from industry experts, reinforcing the project’s commitment to pioneering sustainable mobility solutions in Europe.
