On Sunday 5 May, the City of Munich, partner in the metaCCAZE project, welcomed over 6,000 visitors at the Europa*Rad 2024. Participants not only enjoyed complimentary rides in the gondolas of the UMADUM Ferris wheel, but also gained firsthand insight into the European projects the City is actively engaged in. This event served as an ideal platform to showcase the metaCCAZE project’s mission of fostering smart and shared zero emission mobility.
For the City of Munich, Melanie Grötsch and Sayalee Pendharkar from the Department of Mobility presented the metaCCAZE project to the interesting citizens, engaging with the Munich residents with exciting insights on innovative EU projects with an ideas exchange session in the form of a fun quiz on mobility!
Munich is one of the four trailblazer cities in the metaCCAZE project, which is committed to reach climate neutrality by 2050. Munich Living Lab will be demonstrating a wide range of use cases for intelligent logistics hubs, first and last mile logistics, dynamic curbside management along with the operation of a small emission free automated vehicle for passenger and freight.
As Munich continues on its trailblazing journey towards climate neutrality, the lessons learned during the metaCCAZE project will inspire other cities in Europe.
